JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Transportation is expecting increased holiday travel this weekend. That's why MoDOT says they'll be limiting road construction throughout the weekend.
Work on most maintenance and construction projects will be suspended Friday afternoon through next Tuesday morning.
Officials are also encouraging drivers to eliminate distractions this weekend, especially since there's been an increase in traffic fatalities this year; despite an overall drop in traffic volume because of the pandemic.
